60 percent of Americans use social media

According to a study by Cone LLC 60 percent of Americans use social media and 59 % of those interact with companies on social media web sites. If that’s not enough to get you going with social network marketing then consider these findings.

The same study revealed that 93 percent of the people using social media believe a company should have a presence in social media. Eighty-Five percents believe a company should interact with members of social media and 56 percent feel a stronger connection with companies that interact with them.

What type of interaction do they want? Forty-three percent would like you to help solve their problems. Forty-one percent want to provide feedback on products and services. Thirty-seven percent want companies to find new ways to interact with them.

In other words, consumers (clients) want to interact with your brand on their own terms. So, if your social media endeavors are simply brochure profiles you are missing the boat.
